After Kareena its Kanagana Ranaut for Miss attitude

Ever since kareena kapoor renounced the Miss attitude title, the crown has been sitting idle and lonely, looking for the next best lovely lady. It’s finally got some takers, at least that’s what the jury comprising of some industrywallas and media folks have to say. But there’s one girl out to prove the filmi adalat wrong this time. People believe that after the success of Gangster,

kangana ranaut has been giving producers a whole lot of attitude. But that’s quite contrary to the truth. In fact, one of the reasons she accepted the role in Metro, was her great rapport with director Anurag Basu.
He had given her her first break in Bollywood, a successful one that too. It’s something Kangana will remember as long as she’s around. “Kangana’s not in awe of herself; she understands that if you’re a good actress you’ll stand out one way or the other,” says her close director
friend. That little bit of spunk and attitude – we like it. If there’s an excess just throw it away not around.

Aditya Chopra to pair up Sonam Kapoor and King Khan

As it is Aditya Chopra and Shahrukh Khan coming together after a gap of 8 long years for ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ is enough to arouse interest and to add icing to the cake is the fact that SRK’s heroine is none other than the sweet and perfectly poised Sonam Kapoor.
The film will have SRK play a 40 plus man who falls in love with a sweet 16 Punjabi girl. Aditya wanted a perfect Punjabi Kudi for the role, fluent in Punjabi as well as tall, fair and of course one who could exude the charm of a 16 year old girl. He auditioned many before zeroing in on Sonam. On the other hand, SRK happened instantly with he being the first choice for Aditya and the former giving his nod before even reading the script.
Must say, Sonam has had good luck charms on her side in this world of glamour industry. She started with SLB in ‘Saawariya’, then Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Dilli 6’ opposite Abhishek happened and if this works out perfectly, the next feather to her cap will be Aditya Chopra’s ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ opposite King Khan. What more could a newcomer ask for

Aishwarya Rai to be paid 40 million for ‘Robot’

In this male-oriented industry where male stars get almost thrice the amount which their female co-stars get, getting 40 million for a project by any heroine is news, Friends. But this is what has just happened. Beating in Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai becomes the highest paid Bollywood actress who will have her pockets filled with 40 millions for Shankar’s ‘Robot’.
“Yes, it’s close to Rs.40 million. And she’s very amused when she reads that she is the highest-paid actress in Bollywood. With three hits in a row, ‘Guru’, ‘Dhoom 2’ and ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, Ash’s equity as a Rai and a Bachchan have gone through the roof,” says a source close to Bahcchan family.
If you are gaping at the amount Ash is supposed to get, have a look at this. Rajnikanth gets a 150 million plus 50 percent of his film’s profits even when his films are not commercially viable beyond his Tamil territory! Does the amount still seem whopping?

Preview Screening of ‘Love Story 2050′

This 19th March, PVR Juhu saw the exclusive preview screening of Harry Baweja’s much awaited ‘Love Story 2050’. The first look of the film along with the trailer was unveiled to the audience by Adlabs. Priyanka Chopra and Harry showcased the trailer of this sci-fi flick which has Harman Baweja and of course, Priyanka as the main lead. Also starring are Boman Irani, Archana Pooran Singh, Dilip Tahil and Shishir Saxena.
The film is set for it’s grand theatrical release on 21st March 2008. The music of the film is composed by Anu Malik with Lyrics by Javed Akhtar.
With this flick, Harman Baweja is making his debut on the silver screen. When asked if it was justified for Harman to get such a difficult role as his debut, the director swiftly replied, “In fact I think all the more this would be his perfect launch because the concept of the film is very strong. I think otherwise, because it’s more challenging, more difficult, more hardworking, which would yield results. I think choosing a difficult path is much more challenging and it pays off well.”

Hrithik Roshan v/s SRK in ‘Krazzy 4′

‘Krazzy 4’ can’t get enough of item numbers. After SRK and Rakhi Sawant, now Hrithik Roshan has shot a red hot item number for the flick. The most interesting part is that both King Khan and Hrithik have danced to the same song ‘Break Free’ and it will definitely be a treat to see two Bollywood’s best bodies shaking to gain an edge over each other.
Director Jaideep Sen says, “Hrithik’s song is on the same tune (as SRK) but there is a slight change in lyrics. He has danced brilliantly as usual and it shows! I am very lucky that two megastars have danced to the title song for my debut film. Rakhi Sawant’s song is for the masses as she is famous through her item songs.”
Hrithik’s number has been choreographed brilliantly by Ganesh Acharya. ‘Krazzy 4’ is a light-hearted comedy starring Arshad Warsi, Rajpal Yadav, Irrfan Khan, Suresh Menon, and Juhi Chawla. It will release on April 11.

Tanushree Dutta pays for her tantrums

With growing competition, professionalism is the word today. However, some actresses refuse to take off their attitude crown not without losses. So, when actress Tanushree Dutta threw tantrums on the sets of ‘Horn Ok Please’ this Wednesday, producer Sami Siddiqui decided not to give in to her attitude, ousted her out of the project and opted for a more professional Rakhi Sawant instead.
It so happened that Tanushree, clad in skimpy clothes, was rehearsing an item song with the film’s choreographer and actor Nana Patekar. Provoked by her outfit some junior artist on the sets passed a lewd comment on Tanushree. To add to the insult, Nana Patekar reportedly said that she should have covered her body up to prevent people from getting provoked. Tanushree was so upset that she refused to perform with Nana. The song is reportedly spicy and Nana was supposed to touch her in some shots. The actress retired to her vanity van refusing to come out of it. This delayed the shoot for over two hours. Irked by Tanushree’s unprofessionalism, the producer cancelled the shoot. Now, the queen of item numbers, Rakhi Sawant, has bagged in the song.
‘Horn Ok Please’ is directed by Rakesh Sarang, and also stars Muzzamil Ibrahim and Rimi Sen.

Kareena plays herself in Kya Love Story Hai

After about a year long break from films, Kareena Kapoor will return to the silver screen with Lovely Singh’s Kya Love Story Hai. Kareena has done a special item number for the film. Incidentally, around the same time last year, she was shooting for the song Yeh Mera Dil from Farhan Akhtar’s Don. It’s ironic that she started her break and ended it with dance numbers.
Kareena’s track in the film, It’s Rocking Yaara Ishq To Karo is sung by Alisha Chenoi. The video was shot at Filmistan Studio in Mumbai. Returning after her year long break, Kareena has lost oodles of weight and is looking very gorgeous. She reveals that the reason for her looks and curvaceous body is yoga, which she has been practicing religious for quite a while now.
Kareena has done this dance number for free as a friendly gesture for Lovely Singh. She has known Lovely from the time when he was an assistant to Satish Kaushik. And now that he is debuting with his first film, Kareena is supporting his venture with her dance sequence. This will be the opening track of the film.
Kareena says that this will be her most glamorous dance sequence till date. They have worked very hard on it she adds.
